Singapore Airlines expands cooperation with Malaysia Airlines

Singapore Airlines has revealed that its codeshare agreement with Malaysia Airlines has been extended and strengthened.

The agreement now includes SilkAir, a regional carrier owned by Singapore Airlines. Together the three airlines will offer up to 15 flights per day between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

SilkAir is to launch twice-daily flights on the route from 26 October 2008, while Singapore Airlines will operate five daily flights. With effect from 1 December, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will each operate four daily Singapore-Kuala Lumpur flights.

Customers will generally have access to all flights operated by the three airlines, Singapore Airlines said.
