Goodrich to provide refurbishment programme for US Airway's CFM-56 engine thrust reverse

Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR), a supplier of systems and services to the aerospace and defence industry, announced on 21 October that it has entered into a refurbishment programme agreement with US Airways.

According to the company the long term agreement, part of the Aerostructures team's Prime Solutions programme, will run until 2012 and is for Goodrich to refurbish half of the engine thrust reversers on US Airways' CFM56-5Bits A320 aircraft and to provide initial exchange units to facilitate the maintenance programme.

The custom-tailored programme will be carried out at Goodrich Aerostructures' maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Foley, Alabama.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
