MDA announces amendments to contract with FAA

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd (MDA) (TSX: MDA), a provider of information solutions, has reported the receipt of over USD10m of contract amendments from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Instrument Procedure Development System (IPDS).
Under the new contracts MDA will upgrade the IPDS in order to include the latest aviation standards and accurate geospatial calculations in the instrument flight procedure domain.
The amendments extend the value of the existing first development phase IPDS contract, which was announced in January 2007, to more than USD22m.
