Twelve self-service devices will also be available to enable a smooth check-in process. In addition there will be seven security checkpoint lanes and three baggage carousels.

The airline will also open its new Admirals Club lounge with 121 seats. The lounge features a multi-functional business centre which includes complimentary high-speed Internet access, PC data ports, telephones, printers, copiers and fax service along with other amenities such as a cyber cafe, shower facilities and a corporate conference room.

American is offering a USD50 discount on new annual Admirals Club memberships from now until 31 December 2008 and existing members eligible for renewal will receive USD25 off the membership renewal fee, if made in person at the Raleigh/Durham Admirals Club lounge.
