Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it has acquired two new wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The acquisition of these aircraft is in addition to an agreement announced by the airline earlier this year for the purchase of up to 24 new Airbus aircraft.
The two aircraft are being leased from AWAS and are scheduled to be delivered in the first and second quarters of 2011. Separately, Hawaiian Airlines has extended an agreement with AWAS for the extension to 2011 of two Boeing 767-300ER aircraft currently in the fleet. The new A330s will replace these B767s.
The airline has acquired the new Airbus aircraft as part of its transition to a new Airbus fleet.
