Alaska Air Group releases traffic results

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Alaska Air Group Inc (NYSE:ALK) has released traffic figures for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
Revenue passenger miles for Alaska Airlines increased by 0.2% compared to September 2007, while available seat miles dropped by 5.0%, resulting in a load factor of 75.8%, an increase of 4.0 percentage points.
For Horizon Air, revenue passenger miles for September 2008 decreased by 15.7% compared the same month last year, available seat miles dropped by 17.2% and load factor increased by 1.3 percentage points at 72.6%.
