Innovative Solutions & Support Inc adds IS&S Vantage to its Cockpit/IP product line

Innovative Solutions & Support Inc (NASDAQ: ISSC) (IS&S), a supplier of flat panel display systems, flight information computers and advanced monitoring systems, has introduced the new IS&S Vantage Cockpit/IP Information System.
The Vantage is an open architecture flat panel cockpit display system that can interface with most third party avionics. It is available in two or three 10.4" Flat Panel Display Unit (DU) architectures. IS&S claims that operators can upgrade their aircraft to a new display system with minimal costs as the third party avionics previously installed need not be removed.
The Vantage system includes Radio/Navigation Converter Units that change analogue signals into dual digital ARINC 429 outputs, in addition to Engine Data Concentrator Units, which take information to the DU for graphical presentation. Further options include Class 3 e-charts provided by Jeppesen, Enhanced Vision Systems, XM Satellite Weather and on-board cabin video.
The DUs are identical and pin strapped for location information and functionality. Control is provided through a bezel mounted button and knob control system, which is the pilot and co-pilot's main interface to the system, IS&S said.
