Boeing announces appointment of director of state and local government relations

Boeing (NYSE:BA) has announced that it has appointed David Schumacher as director of state and local government relations.
Schumacher will report to the vice president for state and local government relations and global corporate citizenship for The Boeing Company, Fred Kiga. Schumacher will be responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with state and local government officials on public policy that will affect Boeing in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Hawaii and Alaska.
Most recently Schumacher was non-partisan staff director for the Washington State Senate Ways and Means Committee. Prior to that he worked as the committee's capital budget coordinator and tax policy analyst.
