Flexjet, Bombardier's fractional business jet ownership programme, has announced a partnership with Climate Care, a carbon offset provider and a division of JPMorgan's environmental markets group, which will enable Flexjet owners to make their flights carbon neutral.

The company said that voluntary environmental initiative, starting in October 2008, will apply to all Flexjet owners. A fee per hour will be paid by participants, which will then fund activities that generate an equal reduction in emissions.

Climate Care will invest funds from the offset programme in projects around the world, which reduce carbon emissions and distribute renewable, sustainable technology. Flexjet will also offset flights for demonstration and maintenance purposes along with non-owner flights.
