China Airlines to keep seats for prepaid seat selection

Taiwanese carrier China Airlines has announced that it will be keeping some seats on long-haul flights for customers wishing to pay for seat selection.

Customers will be able to book prepaid seats through the China Airlines website after ticketing.

Prepaid seat selection will be available for some seats on trans Pacific flights and flights to Europe and Australia.

This will take effect from 16 October 2008. Passengers who have completed seat selection prior to this date for flights after this will not be charged. Pre paid seat selection will cost TWD500 per seat per sector.

Paragon members and Emerald members of DFP will not be charged for the service.
