ExpressJet announces traffic results for August

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
ExpressJet Holdings (NYSE:XJT) has reported traffic results for August 2008 for its subsidiary ExpressJet Airlines.
Revenue passenger miles under contract flying for the month were at 753m, while available seat miles were 961m, resulting in a load factor of 78.4%. The contract operation consists of flying for Continental Airlines and Delta Air Lines under capacity purchase agreements, as well as ExpressJet's charter (corporate aviation) service.
For branded flying in August 2008, which includes flying under the ExpressJet name and pro-rate flying for Delta Air Lines, ExpressJet reported revenue passenger miles of 168m and 211m available seat miles. This resulted in a load factor of 79.6%.
Comparison figures for the previous year were not provided.
