Singapore Airlines received its sixth Airbus A380 aircraft on 18 September.

This addition to its fleet of A380 superjumbos enables the airline to introduce a second daily flight between Singapore and London. The new flight will start tomorrow (20 September) and will make the Singapore-London route the first in the world to be operated twice a day by the superjumbo, Singapore Airlines said.

The carrier was the first airline to operate the A380. With the delivery of its latest aircraft Singapore Airlines has orders for 13 A380s outstanding, plus options on another six.
