Virgin Atlantic in financial talks over purchase of Gatwick Airport - report

Virgin Atlantic has been holding talks with its financial partners concerning a potential bid for London Gatwick Airport.
The airline currently has a stake in the consortium, which owns UK air traffic control system NATS.
A spokesman for the airline reportedly revealed that talks are currently at an early stage and it intends to approach other airlines with the suggestion of forming a consortium, once suitable backing has been secured.
According to The Times, Dubai International Capital, which is closely tied with Virgin Atlantic, has previously expressed interest in purchasing the airline.
