Pratt & Whitney awarded USD26m order for V2500 aircraft engines under IAE contract

Manufacturer and designer of aircraft engines Pratt & Whitney announced on Thursday that Israeli domestic airline Israir has selected International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 SelectOne build standard engines to power three Airbus A320s.
The order, which includes a long-term IAE Aftermarket Services agreement, is worth approximately USD26m to Pratt & Whitney.
It also reportedly represents the first order that Israir has placed for the V2500 on the first A320s the airline has purchased.
IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium with shareholders comprising of Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, the Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.
Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX).
