Hamilton Sundstrand awarded USD2.0bn contract for Bombardier CSeries Aircraft Electrical Power System

Hamilton Sundstrand, a supplier of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products, announced on Friday that it has been selected by Bombardier Aerospace to supply the electrical power system for the Bombardier CSeries family of commercial aircraft in a programme valued over USD2.0bn over the life of the programme.

The Hamilton Sundstrand Electric Power Generation and Distribution System (EPGDS) perform power generation, power distribution and load management functions for the CSeries aircraft.

The Electrical Power System for the CSeries aircraft will be primarily designed and manufactured in Hamilton Sundstrand's Rockford, Illinois facility in US.

Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX).
