Mechtronix Systems Inc (MSI), a provider of flight training equipment, announced on Monday that its advanced full flight trainer, the FFT X, has successfully qualified for JAR FSTD A FTD Level 2A and FNPT II MCC, having been evaluated by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).
Mechtronix FFT X is installed at Flight Training Europe, a commercial pilot training school based at Jerez Airport in Spain. FFT X was deployed there in 2008 and Flight Training Europe was reportedly the first pilot training school in Europe to use it.
The company plans to use the FFT X as a key component of its joint MPL course with European regional airline FlyBe.
