South Korea makes official 30-ppm diesel sulfur limit from Jan. 1, 2006

The new Ministry of Environment regulation also imposes an 11% limit on aromatics and a lubricity standard (460-micron maximum wear-scar limit via HFRR). Current diesel standards are 430-ppm sulfur, with no limits on polyaromatics or lubricity minimum. Vehicle emissions limits likewise are expected to be finalized soon, explains Hart Downstream Energy Group Asia correspondent Keith Ho.
