SCAQMD Gets Equal Requests For CNG, Clean-Diesel School Buses

Despite imposing a rule that makes it extremely difficult to buy clean-diesel buses, South Coast Air Quality Management District says 46 metro Los Angeles school districts have asked for funding for 440 clean-diesel and 454 CNG school buses. SCAQMD only has enough funds for 100 CNG buses and 60 clean-diesel buses, but gives first priority to CNG. Agency decision is on June 15.
