Associated Octel touts Fuel-Borne Catalyst combo with Adastra diesel particle filters

Diesel Fuel News, May 27, 2002

The new "Adastra" venture, headquartered in UK, will pair Octel's metallic FBCs (see Diesel Fuel News 4/1/02, p12) with an on-board dosing system, to improve DPF soot regeneration. "Our system not only ensures that all fuel consumed by the engine contains FBC but also accurate dosing is maintained even if a fuel surge occurs as a result of acceleration, braking, hill climbing or operations on steeply angled or sloping terrain," Octel said at Birmingham's commercial vehicle show last month.

UK emissions retrofit incentives now cover 75% (US$4,375 to $5,889) of up-front capital & installation cost.
