Washington, DC, metro area transit authority tests DPF/lean-[NO.sub.x] catalyst combo

The so-called "Longview" catalyst from Cleaire, recently verified by California Air Resources Board (CARB), goes on five WMATA transit buses this summer. The combination lean-[NO.sub.x] cat plus diesel particulate filter cuts PM by 85% and [NO.sub.x] by 25%, according to CARB.
