U.S. Senate Energy Bill floor amendments include small-business 75% expensing for ULSD investments starting 2002
Diesel Fuel News, June 23, 2003
An amendment to the pending Energy Bill being offered by U.S. Sen. David Pryor (D-Ark.) would move back the bill's 75% expensing provision for small-refiner ULSD to 2002, rather than 2003 as in original bill. Other possible amendments include further incentives for coal-to-diesel production (Sen.
Arlen Specter, R-Pa.); clean school buses (Sen. Hilary Clinton, D-NY); vehicle fuel efficiency and biodiesel (Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich.), and a possible companion to a ULSD/clean-diesel purchase incentive package bill as earlier introduced in the House (see Diesel Fuel News 6/9/03, p1]) by U.S. Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.)
