California Farm Bureau loses court challenge to U.S. EPA diesel emissions ruling
Diesel Fuel News, July 21, 2003
U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected claims that EPA can't force farmers to slash diesel emissions on farms. "While we think it is premature to bring additional regulations on farmers, we understand that the law must be followed," California Farm Bureau said in reaction to the court decision, which won't be appealed.
A related bill in the state Assembly to repeal the exemption is pending, following earlier approval in the California Senate.
