Saudi Aramco well-underway with 200,000-b/d condensate fractionator for clean-diesel, naphtha

Diesel Fuel News, July 22, 2002

> A giant 74-meter, 550-ton fractionation tower at Ras Tanura refinery went up this month, part of a capacity expansion project that will give Aramco "improved capabilities to meet growing demand for distillate and naphtha products for domestic use and export." Aramco didn't explicitly say whether this would enable the export of ULSD to growing markets in Europe, but instead obliquely referred to "high-value diesel" markets that prompted the project.
