Japan Energy reportedly will make 10-ppm ULSD in 2006

Diesel Fuel News, July 22, 2002

According to a report from Nihon Keizain Shimbun (published just as Diesel Fuel News went to press this week), Japan Energy Corp. will begin producing a 10-ppm sulfur ULSD by 2006, following desulfurization investment at its Mizushima and Kashima refineries. Complete conversion to 10-ppm ULSD would be achieved by 2008, the report said.

Japan is converting to a 50-ppm ULSD over the next two years. The project could make Japan Energy the first 10-ppm ULSD producer in the country, the report said.
