New York Senate adjourns without passing accelerated ULSD bill
Diesel Fuel News, July 22, 2002
It's unknown if the state Senate will take up the bill (see Diesel Fuel News 7/8/02, p4) later this year, but it is stalled for now in the Rules Committee, according to an aide to Sen. Kenneth LaValle (R), bill sponsor. Refiners and heating oil dealers opposed the bill's accelerated Jan. 1, 2006, ULSD deadline, which would have hit heating oil as well as highway diesel fuel.
