China's state EPA confirms Euro-2 vehicle emissions limits starting Jan. 1, 2003
Diesel Fuel News, August 5, 2002
> The mandate first hits Beijing, then would spread to rest of China around 2005, according to a report from International Fuel Quality Center (IFQC). Meantime, China also plans to convert part of its diesel pool to a 500ppm sulfur limit for light-duty vehicles around 2003 or 2004, IFQG said. Just when China will adopt an ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) specification along with tighter vehicle emissions limits, initially for big cities including Beijing, remains a continuing point of discussion among Chinese government officials.
