CARB verifies Engelhard, Johnson-Matthey, Cleaire diesel emissions retrofit devices

The new verifications cover Engelhard/JM diesel particulate filters (DPFs) on most 1994-2002 model year diesel engines by Cat, Cummins, DDC, Mack, Navistar and Volvo, as well as Cleaire "Flash and Catch" and "Flash and Match" systems on some Cummins Ml 1 engines. "Match" system not only will reduce PM by 25% but also "under certain conditions, a reduction in NOx of 25%," CARB says.
