U.S. EPA proposes to allow 'SIP' emissions credits for truck-stop electrification for metro Los Angeles

Diesel Fuel News, Sept 29, 2003

U.S. EPA Proposes To Allow 'SIP' Emissions Credits For Truck-Stop Electrification For Metro Los Angeles: The proposed approval covers South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) plan to allow truck-stop electrification (TSE) to qualify for "mobile source emission reduction credits" under SCAQMD's so-called "Reclaim" credits trading program.

TSE allows truckers to turn off their main or auxiliary engines while parked, thus cutting nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emissions.
