Danish politicians to push mandatory diesel particulate filters

Research indicating that diesel particulate matter (PM) might be responsible for thousands of deaths, hospital admissions, bronchitis, and asthma attacks has prompted the Christian People's Party and the Radical Left Party to push a law mandating DPFs on diesel vehicles, according to a report from Copenhagen Post.
However, this health-effects report met with skepticism from Denmark's Environmental Research Institute. The institute cited a decline in Danish vehicle-related air pollution in recent years, the Post report said.
