CARB Transport Refrigeration Unit diesel emissions reduction plan heading for board hearing in December

A draft staff proposal this month outlined requirements to be finalized by December (see: www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/presentations.htm). The proposal covers both in-use and new TRUs and TRU gen-sets, with compliance deadlines between 2006-2016.
Diesel TRUs would have to run on ultra-low sulfur CARB fuel by 9/1/2006, under the proposal.
