Lebanese Taxi Drivers Financial Losses Mount Since Diesel Ban: The government's forced conversion of diesel taxis to gasoline is now getting costlier as prior subsidies are being withdrawn, according to a report from Daily Star (Beirut). Ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) is already produced in neighboring Israel so Lebanon could enable clean-diesel taxis if it chose.
