Houston metro transit switching entire fleet to ULSD, clean-diesel
Diesel Fuel News, Nov 25, 2002
The $23 million program includes exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) retrofits on 386 buses, plus 157 new engines with EGR. Ultra-low sulfur diesel will fuel the entire 1,450-bus fleet. Grants from Houston-Galveston Area Council and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will fund the bulk of the clean-air program.
