CDT sees retrofit verifications moving ahead for CARB, EPA programs

Diesel Fuel News, Nov 25, 2002

Clean Diesel Technologies (CDT) announced a demonstration/durability program with a "major trash hauler" and a "major delivery fleet," which will aid its quest for official U.S. EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) clean-diesel retrofit verification. CDT's "Platinum Plus" fuel-borne catalyst (FBC) can be combined with uncatalyzed or lightly-catalyzed diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and oxidation catalyst.

"More than a dozen commercial systems combining Platinum Plus with low-cost devices were placed in service in mines, off-road equipment and refuse trucks in the last several months and will support broad verification of the combined systems," the company said.
