ULSD Prices Soaring In Euro Spot Markets
Diesel Fuel News, Nov 26, 2001
According to a Reuters report, ULSD spot prices traded as much as $54/ton over London IPE gas oil futures prices last week, about $34/ton higher than the normal diesel-to-gasoil price spreads. Reasons: Belgium and Luxembourg's sudden switch to ULSD at the end of this month, following Germany's switch last month.
Government tax incentives in several Euro states are accelerating ULSD introduction well ahead of 2005 Euro-wide deadlines.
