New Coordinating Research Council diesel fuels research group

Diesel Fuel News, Dec 23, 2002

Potentially aiding a new ASTM ULSD standards effort is a new Coordinating Research Council (CRC) diesel performance work group. This just-formed group aims to generate valuable test data on emerging diesel quality issues such as lubricity, cetane and stability, as ASTM "E-2" co-chair Manuch Nikanjam (Chevron) explained at Los Angeles ASTM meeting this month.

Individual companies often lack the resources to do such research alone, and data credibility is enhanced by CRC's peer-reviewed group research, Nikanjam pointed out.
