India's Petroleum Ministry seeks higher taxes on kerosene to stop fuel adulteration

A doubling of kero taxes would bring it in-line with diesel taxes and thus discourage illegal fuel adulteration, according to a report from BusinessLine-India. Fuel adulteration was cited as a key reason for forcing city bus and taxi fleets to convert to compressed natural gas.
