U.S. EPA promises August/September workshop with diesel engine/aftertreatment makers on 2007-10 emissions compliance
Diesel Fuel News, March 17, 2003
EPA's mobile sources director Margo Oge told World Truck Conference this month that EPA, engine makers and exhaust control makers will review progress this fall on achieving compliance with heavy-duty diesel emissions control limits for 2007/10. Afterward, EPA will issue a progress report by year-end.
"Technology progress over the next two years will be critical to success in 2007, especially for NOx adsorbers," Oge said. On the light-duty diesel front, by June EPA will have tested and evaluated four vehicles with new NOx/PM control technologies, she said.
