IBM has announced the immediate availability of the IBM eServer p690 after five years of development.
The eServer p690 contains the system-on-a-chip design with each chip containing two 1GHz processors, a memory cache and I/O interconnected with other components. IBM's Project eLiza supplied the technology needed to design and develop the new server.
No pricing information was revealed.
