Texas-based BMC Software Inc has launched the PATROL Storage Network Manager, its new tool that is designed to provide a single point of control for monitoring, management, control and automation of storage elements across a company.

According to BMC one of the key benefits of the tool is its ability to automatically discover and map all of the storage devices within a network, providing a clear graphical view of the physical storage devices and defining how they are connected.

In addition to supporting storage area networks, the system can also support network-attached storage (NAS) and direct-attached storage.

PATROL Storage Network Manager is available immediately priced from USD30,000.
