Worldwide Computer Products News-30 January 2001-National Semiconductor unveils line of supervisory ICs (C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

National Semiconductor Corp has launched what it claims to be the world's smallest family of multi-function supervisory ICs for monitoring power supplies in cellular phones, computers, pagers or any other systems containing microprocessors, microcontrollers or digital signal processors.

The LM3700 line uses EEPROM technology to enable customers to select the precise combination of supervisory functions they need for a specific application. Other features include immunity to short voltage transients and an ambient operating temperature range from -40 degrees C to 85 degrees C.

Housed in the chip-scale SMD package the LM3700 family is available now, including 14 standard combinations (LM3700-LM3713) and hundreds of possible factory-programmed customised versions. Pricing was not disclosed.
