Microsoft has made available Service Pack 1 (SP1) for its Exchange 2000 messaging and collaboration platform.

SP1 comes with a special wizard to facilitate migration from multiple Exchange 5.5 systems into a single Exchange 2000 system. It also provides calendar connectors for Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise to help customers migrating from Lotus' or Novell's messaging systems.

Other features in SP1 include datacentre support for higher availability and Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server improvements, such as an ability for users to schedule conferences from a browser. In addition SP1 comes bundled with Outlook 2002, the latest release of Microsoft's messaging and collaboration client.
