Computer Associates International Inc (CA) has introduced Ingres II v2.5, the latest version of its database management system and application development environment.
The new version makes it easier to handle larger file sizes and it provides integrated HTML publishing capabilities to support the rapid development of high-performance web-based applications.

Other enhancements include remote access, high availability replication and the secure interchange of information between business systems and external parties via the web.
Ingres II 2.5 is available now with support for the HP-UX, Solaris, Windows NT and Linux operating systems. Support for additional platforms is expected to follow shortly. Pricing was not revealed.
