Dane-Elec has introduced a CompactFlash card with 512Mb of memory power.

The new product is designed to meet the demand for larger memory cards in applications such as digital cameras, portable PCs and MP3 players. Features include low power consumption and faster download times than in the company's previous CompactFlash cards.

Dane-Elec manufactures the 512Mb CompactFlash card, as well as its 16, 32, 64, 96 and 128 Mb cards, based on Lexar Media's technology and controllers.

Availability and pricing of the new card were not revealed.
