Sun Microsystems Inc has made available version 3.0 of its Forte for Java integrated development environment (IDE).
The product has been designed to simplify application development that uses Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technologies, such as Enterprise JavaBeans components. The new version has also been optimised for iPlanet's Application server 6.0, supports deployment to J2EE application servers and is a core component of the Sun Open Net Environment - an open architecture for the creation, assembly and deployment of web services.
