The launch date for a new Vaio laptop in Japan has been set by electronics company Sony.
The new Vaio U is reportedly smaller than previous versions of the Vaio laptop and continues to run the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. The device measures 18.5cm by 14cm and weighs 820 grammes.
The release date has been scheduled for the end of April 2002 with the price likely to be at around USD800.
