IBM has chosen chip maker Intel Corp to supply wireless LAN technology for its ThinkPad notebooks.

The technology will be incorporated in a number of models of the new IBM ThinkPad T30 notebook featuring the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor - M. Users will be able to connect to existing wireless LAN networks at speeds of up to 11Mb/s without the need for an additional network adapter.

No financial arrangements between the two companies were revealed.
