Chip maker Intel Corp has revealed its second-generation 64-bit Itanium processor.
The Intel Itanium 2 processor is reportedly able to deliver 1.5 to two times the performance of the existing Intel Itanium-based systems.
The Itanium 2 processor is scheduled for a mid-year release. As yet, no pricing details have been revealed.
