Internet security company Check Point Software Technologies has introduced its new wireless security product family for GPRS 2.5G and 3G networks.

The first product from the range is the FireWall-1 GX, a solution that provides additional security capabilities for communications, transactions and roaming between mobile operators. FireWall-1 GX is based on Check Point's Stateful Inspection technology and Secure Virtual Network architecture.

FireWall-1 GX is now available for Linux, Solaris open servers and Nokia security appliances. No pricing details were revealed.
