A new web-based wireless Internet camera has been introduced by D-Link, a networking solutions manufacturer.

The D-LinkAir DSC-1000W can, according to the company, be used as a remote security camera or to broadcast live events over the Internet. The device includes an RJ-45 fast Ethernet 10/100 MB/s port as well as a built in 802.11b wireless LAN module and VGA resolution. Images from the camera may be viewed through an Internet browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

The cost of the D-LinkAir DSC-1000W wireless Internet camera was not announced.
