Photographic equipment company Pentax has launched a pair of binoculars that double as a digital camera.

The Digibino DB100 binoculars are capable of seven times magnification - equivalent to a 280-millimetre telephoto lens. The 0.8 megapixel digital camera has 16MB of built in flash memory and can store up to 100 JPEG images.

The photos can be viewed on a flip up LCD panel and can be transferred to PCs, Macs or TVs.

Pricing for the Digibino DB100 has been set at GBP300.
